Caricatures and Cartoons, it seems folk like daft cartoon drawings, although saying that it can be a love, hate relationship with this kind of thing too! But they can be a handy and a very personalised commission for any client bash, presentation or for that special member of staff leaving after many a year at the coalface within your organisation. In my Family and with close Friends it’s customary for to get an individual Birthday Card design of some daft sort from myself, usually involving a Caricature/Cartoon depicting some event of late with the individual concerned. In this case my big Bros 50th was beckoning, (he’s returned to the land of lycra and nicely made bikes of late). Myself Im already a veteran of the road and trail, a mountain biker and cyclist and living in the S/West of the UK inflicted with a mad fondness for riding uphill or down dale. (Mind you slowly compared to the pro’s saying all of that). So in July 2014 we both headed off down to the French Maritime Alps, to go ride up the legendary and stunning Mont Ventoux, the mythical ‘Beast of Provence’. Which had been on my uphill riding mountain tick list for over 25years. After successfully enjoying? riding that major uphill jaunt, later in the week we also tackled the equally legendary ‘Alpe d’Huez’, both infamous in the Tour de France. An epic weeks biking which will last long in the memory. So back in blighty and once the lungs and legs had recovered, it was time to draw up a bespoke cartoon of the trip for his big Birthday print!
