Caricatures and Cartoons – Steve Oddy’s 60th Birthday ‘Steves Army’ Card.

Caricatures and Cartoons, it seems folk like daft cartoon drawings, although saying that it can be a love, hate relationship with this kind of thing too! But they can be a handy and a very personalised commission for any client bash, presentation or for that member of staff leaving after many a year at the coalface within any organisation. Recent commission for Steve Oddy’s 60th Birthday. Steve’s a great guy and an old client of mine too of Procyon Project Management. A man who definitely likes things to be done in his own way and fashion and fair play, who doesn’t! So when thinking of a particular theme for his approaching 60th birthday card and print, the BBC Dad’s Army comedy show marched out of my mind’s eye immediately. In particular Captain Mainwaring and his amusing antics with his Home Guard Platoon, (no offence meant of course Steve). It also had to include his wife and partner and my sister in drill practice, Ann Oddy, thinly disguised as ‘Private Pike’. Pencil, pen and Ink drawings then into CS Photoshop for the finished illustration and print.
